In partnership with other local community projects, we run a Health Champions scheme across South Gloucestershire. We have a team of volunteers who are passionate about encouraging others to lead happy, healthy lives. They are based in Kingswood and Staple Hill and happy to speak to groups and at events about healthly eating, lifestyles and positive mental health.
The team have put together a Well-being stand and have been attending local events. They are encouraging people to consider their own well-being and ways in which they can improve their mental health. Positive State of Mind is just one initiative that they are championing.
We are now recruiting for more health champions who can work in the south of South Gloucestershire. If you are involved in your local community and passionate about promoting positive health and well-being we would love to hear from you. Health Champions
Positive State of Mind - a peer support group for people who may struggle with their mental health
Positive State of Mind is a peer support group running every other Wednesday at Kingswood Library. The group supports people with poor mental health such as anxiety and depression. Come along to share experiences and meet people who may be feeling similar.
